So I decided to do a little something for myself in hopes to rouse my slumbering muse and thus far it seems to be doing a rather good job at that. Those of you who watch me will know right away that this is something a little out of my element since I usually work with animals and have never uploaded a human subject. Well, as foreign as that ground is to me I still greatly enjoyed making this manip and am rather proud of how it turned out considering – as stated before – human subjects are just out of my 'norm'. I did a lot of painting on this one, mostly the hair, which gave me a cramp afterwards but totally worth it I think
When I saw the model for this while scrounging around for some random anatomy study I knew I had to do something with it, I didn't care what, I just wanted to use her in a project which resulted in this. The model is one of the most beautiful models I've seen on dA or anywhere else for that matter; everything about her from head to toe screams of a natural beauty that needs no enhancing by means of cosmetics or shimmering golds. It's as if she's a statue carved of flesh and though I did add some things to her you'll notice that they're an organic decoration that one would find in nature. The pose and the model herself both remind me greatly of the Renaissance and it was during this era that I find portraits of women how they should be to me – no photoshop to clear their marks and they were not afraid to display their curves, no matter where they were or how they looked. Basically I like my women completely natural because real skin is much more alluring than plastic and sheep grease (if you don't know what I'm talking about just google the ingredients for some cosmetics, you may be disgusted with what you rub on your face everyday).
